Nothing in AI has disgusted me more than Meta’s AI policy leak

Meta just got caught red-handed with internal documents showing that teams of their people, (including their Chief AI Ethicist) signed off on their AI chatbots being explicitly allowed to engage in romantic conversations with kids,  as well as allowing racism and overt violence.

Yes, you read that correctly. And honestly nothing in AI, ever, has disgusted me more than this.

The leaked 200-page policy document, confirmed as authentic by Meta themselves, shows that many teams of people reviewed and approved guidelines permitting their AI to flirt with children, argue for racial inferiority, and generate violent imagery.

This is beyond appalling; it's a complete moral failure by everyone involved in creating, reviewing, and approving these AI standards at Meta.

What makes my stomach turn is that this same company wants their AI to become your eternal companion, remembering everything about your life and guiding your decisions.

I'm still struggling to comprehend how entire departments of human beings collectively thought this was acceptable, and frankly, I think everyone (especially parents) needs to hear about this...

Please watch the video essay above, check out the actual Reuters exposé of Meta's policy leak here, and then if you feel as strongly about this as I do then I welcome your comments below.
