Cohort-based Course
Arming senior leadership teams with the AI literacy, practical skills and strategic acumen needed to guide their companies into the AI era.

Mark Laurence
Founder and lead consultant at generative AI consultancy Ten Past Tomorrow.
Close the AI capability gap: Exec-level training for senior leadership teams
“We're going to get to AI systems that are better than almost all humans at almost all tasks... That's the thing I think we're quite likely to get in the next two or three years." - Dario Amodei (CEO, Anthropic), January 2025.
However…
”Only 8% of employees reported they feel GenAI is already transforming their organisation.” - Deloitte - State of Generative AI in the Enterprise report, Q4 2024.
Quite frankly, the gap between AI advancement and AI adoption that those two stats speak to is just too large. It’s no longer just a gap. It’s a chasm.
And add to that…
“In organisations where AI is openly embraced, the chance of developing 'AI Experts' and 'AI Practitioners' is halved when direct managers discourage its use, either directly or indirectly.” - Section School - The AI Proficiency Report, January 2025.
Merging those three storylines and you get a headline that says that senior leadership is the bridge that connects AI aspirations to organisational reality, and ultimately the trajectory of its integration at every level.
In other words; true organisation-wide AI adoption doesn’t begin with technology or tools.
It begins with leadership. AI literate and AI skilled senior leadership.
And that, in a nutshell is what this course is designed to achieve. To take you (a senior leader) and the rest of your exec team from AI novicehood to AI literacy in four weeks.
That’s what I’ve been doing for the past 2 years with companies, through my consultancy, Ten Past Tomorrow. In doing so, I’ve seen first-hand what happens when those three quotes above play out. Without full commitment to AI from an AI-literate executive leadership team, AI adoption is hamstrung to the point of failure, without exception.
This is a "zero-to-one" course. It's designed to take senior leadership teams from a cold start, to AI competence.
Even if you've never used an AI tool, in four weeks you and your fellow senior leaders will get a world-class grounding in essential, foundational AI prompting skills, and also develop your competence to understand how AI will affect your company and industry from a strategic viewpoint.
You and your executive team colleagues may still consider yourselves AI-novices. Or perhaps you feel you have 'some AI knowledge' but your company has stalled after taking your first experimental steps with AI and don't know what the path looks like from here? Or maybe you've mastered AI for yourself and your own role, know first-hand the power it has to radically ramp up efficiency and productivity, but are stuck as to how to create an AI roadmap to distribute that same knowledge across your workforce?
If any of the above resonates with you and your fellow senior leaders in your exec team, this course is for you.
Instead of reacting to AI disruption, you’ll soon be leading it; unlocking productivity gains, driving innovation, and making AI a competitive advantage for your company.
Who is this course for?
Executive leadership teams who want to collectively, confidently, knowledgeably, skilfully, and ethically lead an AI-forward company.

Business Support ManagerWow! I'm excited and nervous in equal measure by AI. Mark made the topic less intimidating, provided a lot of useful tools and ideas, and helped us see the wider context in which to think about AI. Well worth the time and investment.

Luc
Licenced Cadastral Surveyor & Company DirectorI recently attended the AI for Senior Leaders course and found it both eye-opening and strategically relevant. The programme delivered a clear, practical understanding of how AI can be applied across core business functions — not just as a tool, but as a driver of long-term competitive advantage. What stood out was the course’s focus on decision-making, systems thinking, and real-world integration. It went beyond theory, addressing governance, risk, and implementation pathways in a way that directly maps to leadership priorities. The facilitators understood the pressures and context of senior leadership and grounded the content accordingly. I came away with a renewed perspective on AI’s potential — not just to improve productivity, but to reshape how we create value, operate at scale, and think about talent and strategy. I’d highly recommend this course to any senior leader looking to build a durable, adaptive organisation in an AI-powered future.

Tai
Intermediate Resource Consents PlannerJust wrapped up a powerful 4-week experience with the "Rapid AI Traction for Senior Leaders" course by Mark Laurence at Ten Past Tomorrow. As a planner working in the complex space where infrastructure, environment, and communities intersect, I found the course transformative. It was equal parts practical and horizon-scanning. Mark didn’t just talk about AI trends. He showed us exactly how senior leaders can use AI tools today to unlock productivity, generate sharper insights, and make more confident strategic calls — regardless of the sector. This course has reframed how I approach both day-to-day work and long-term planning. It’s not about being a tech expert. It’s about being future-fit. I’d go as far as saying this course should be mandatory for leadership teams who are serious about maintaining relevance and competitive edge in a shifting landscape. If you’re leading in your business and wondering how AI fits into your decision-making, don’t wait. This programme meets you where you are and gives you the clarity and traction to move forward fast. https://maven.com/ten-past-tomorrow/rapid-ai-traction-for-senior-leadership-teams-25april

Managing DirectorThere has been so much talk about AI but until you delve into the basics of the application and tools of AI you realise that your understanding is limited and how big the impact will be on our companies and society. Mark's delivery, content and education to our cohort and the impact he has made is phenomenal. Start of a very exciting journey.

AssociateI recently completed an AI course focused on senior leadership and strategic decision-making, and I can’t speak highly enough of the experience—especially thanks to the exceptional guidance of our host, Mark. His ability to translate complex AI concepts into practical, business-relevant insights was invaluable, and he consistently challenged us to think beyond just “tools” and into strategic transformation. Mark's facilitation style was thoughtful, engaging, and grounded in real-world leadership scenarios, making the course not only informative but deeply impactful. I left feeling empowered to lead with more clarity and confidence in an AI-enabled future.

Associate Dean Research & PostgraduateThis is an outstanding course by Mark, who has a solid understanding of executive leadership teams in a business and academic context. Couple this with Mark's in-depth understanding of AI (and the variants that are coming), experience in working in high-pressure business environments, his welcoming and engaging way of interacting with his audience, you will quickly understand what you are dealing with in his course: Dynamite!

Colin
GM EngineeringA real eye opener and importantly focused toward senior leadership teams and how to stand up robust practice in business that will remain effective and scale safely.

Cheryl
Associate ProfessorTo begin with, I wasn’t sure how the course would relate to my current work or whether it would offer any practical benefits. I approached it with a fair degree of scepticism — I’ve tended to be more cautious with changes in work/life, especially when faced with new technologies like AI. However, the content, reflection prompts, and insights shared by Mark, provided a valuable opportunity to explore AI and reconsider my perspectives. At the end of the course I am now considering how AI might be used to enhance student learning, create equitable access to education, and support the impact of my research.

Ray
FounderMark is a world-class educator with a tremendous passion for this subject, which really shines through in his materials and presentation. I would strongly recommend this course for anyone who is serious about understanding the future transformation that AI can bring.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the price that's quoted on this page per person or for our whole senior leadership team?
The latter. This course is a single payment, which enrols your entire executive leadership team.
What happens if I can’t make a live session?
All live sessions are held on Zoom, and automatically recorded and distributed via email to all members of the cohort within 24 hours of the session concluding.
I work full-time, what is the expected time commitment?
This course is only for senior leadership teams. I acknowledge your time is at a premium. I know 3.5 hours/week is realistic, but no more. My guiding question in building your content for this course was "would I be comfortable if they finished, not knowing this thing?" The result; clear, focused content that matters to your business. Nothing more.
What’s the refund policy?
If your senior leadership team finishes this course anything less than 100% satisfied with the content, delivery and organisation of the programme, I will refund every cent of your investment.
