AI Vision & Leadership

A Closer Look at Jasper's Strategic Partnership with Google

Perhaps the number one question that I hear asked by business executives and people managers around New Zealand at the moment is:

“How do we know which AI platform or provider is the right one for us to base our business around?”

The eagerness in the business community to harness the potential of AI is palpable.

Yet, with so many large language models (LLMs) available (such as ChatGPT from Open AI, Claude from Anthropic and PaLM2 from Google), and with them all being so early in their product development lifecycle, choosing the right one can be a daunting task.

But what if you didn't have to just choose one

Today, I'll delve into a recent partnership that I think could signal an evolution in the way businesses choose their AI providers.

Jasper and Google: A signal of things to come?

The Jasper partnership with Google Cloud Marketplace was announced on the eve of the Google I/O conference, placing Jasper in the spotlight among a series of collaborations unveiled by Google.

Jasper is a leading generative AI platform that aims to redefine AI accessibility and utility. This new alliance promises to elevate Jasper's AI engine and, by extension, extend its reach to millions of users through the Google Cloud Marketplace

It’s a very smart business play by Jasper. But that’s not the focus of what I want to talk about.

This partnership isn't just another headline — I believe it’s an early example of shifting dynamics that we’re going to see more and more of in the AI industry.

I think we’re about to witness a trend where AI startups collaborate with not just one but numerous major LLM platforms in the build of their products.

I believe this Jasper/Google announcement is an early signifier of what could become an industry trend.

Let's consider some specific use cases that might illuminate the potential value of this partnership.

How it could soon be much easier to choose your AI providers

Suppose you are a GM of Marketing for a retail business.

With the diverse language models available through Jasper, you could harness the power of AI to develop a highly personalized marketing campaign.

In the process of developing the campaign, Jasper might call on its integration with ChatGPT to help you engage with customers through social media platforms, while its integration with Claude could analyze customer behavior to forecast trends and a further integration with PaLM2 might assist in creating product descriptions that resonate with your target audience.

All done within Jasper, without you knowing (or to be honest, caring) which language model Jasper is using for each distinct use case.

The system chooses the best model or combination of models based on your specific needs, offering you a bespoke AI solution.

It’s worth noting at this point that this is just my speculation, reading between the lines of recent moves in the AI space.

However, if this trend comes to pass, the implications of these partnerships for business leaders will be profound.

Ease of choice allowing you to amplify your focus on results

As a CMO or a GM of Marketing, your focus is quite naturally on strategy and results.

The last thing you want is to be bogged down by the technicalities of choosing AI models, and taking the risk of tying your flag to the mast of a singular model to build your AI operations around.

Jasper, through its partnership with Google Cloud, aims to eliminate this concern.

By building their products upon a range of models, they enable you to focus on your business’s core objectives, while reaping the benefits of AI.

I believe this partnership offers a glimpse into the future of AI in business.

As the AI landscape evolves, I expect more AI application companies (like Jasper) to follow suit, offering diverse language models within their products and thus reducing the complexity for end users.

This democratization of generative AI will bring previously inaccessible capabilities into the hands of businesses of all sizes and across all sectors.

Moreover, the continued development and integration of generative AI technologies will likely result in even more powerful and efficient models. Just imagine the potential of an AI application that combines the conversational prowess of ChatGPT with the analytic acuity of Claude and the descriptive fluency of PaLM2, all tailored to your business's needs.

This level of sophistication and adaptability may seem futuristic, but with partnerships like Jasper and Google Cloud Marketplace, it's a signal that it’s all closer than we think.

Where is this all heading?

In essence, the partnership between Jasper and Google Cloud Marketplace is more than a strategic alliance — it's a promising sign of what's to come in the AI industry.

As AI application companies begin to offer products that merge diverse language models, businesses may well soon have a thrilling range of amazingly powerful generative AI tools from which to choose from.

So, New Zealand business leaders, the future of AI in business is unfolding right before our eyes, and it's time to embrace the possibilities.

I believe we’re about to find answering the question about which AI model to choose will become dramatically easier, and as a result we’ll be able to place more focus on how to leverage the technology to our advantage.

As Jasper and Google Cloud have shown us, the key lies in adaptability, diversity, and user-centric approaches.

I hope you are ready to embark on this exciting journey?
